Her love of cooking and hosting and planning events for family and friends inspired her to pursue a career in catering and event management. Ms. Alexander started in her field in the 90’s, hosting parties, catering nonprofit business events/baby showers/family gatherings and

professional networking events.

Having graduated from the Art Institute NY in 2008 armed with a culinary degree and certifications. After spending several years in the industry where she learned to fine tune her God given gifts and talents; she took a leap of faith. In 2018, she established Myrecipe4life, LLC, where one of the standards are to offer nourishment for the mind, body and soul providing the the gift of unforgettable memories and joy filled experiences that will stand the test of time.

My adult children joined me on the night that I became a licensed minister. To God Be The Glory! I AM Overjoyed that God saw fit to bless me with such an honor and privilege to serve HIS people.

GARDENING

My Bustani - Swahili for Garden

I started a garden during quarantine during the Covid-19 pandemic in the United States. I live in Beacon, NY. It was for my mental health as well as my physical and emotional health. I didn't want to go outside to the supermarkets and be exposed to the WORLD and it's uncertainties. I wanted to limit my encounters and trips around people. My Bustani has taught me patience. God has been working on me in that area. It has also taught me the importance of growing your own food without chemicals. My goodness!! How much better your fruits, herbs and vegetables taste when they are cared for with love with an understanding as to what's best for your family and their health. I am currently growing culinary and medicinal herbs. A host of different types of tomatoes, Georgia collards, broccoli rabe, romaine lettuce, different varieties of potatoes, eggplant, peppers, okra (various), and a host of other yumminess. It's a learning process. I am enjoying the journey. You sow, reap and harvest the bounty. God has shown me that the real growth happens in the darkness (underground) and peace be still in the process. Enjoy the flowers when they bloom. Take in the aroma of the beauty that nature offers to the world.

Chef Tsahi trained and graduated from NYAI in all areas of culinary cuisine. A lover of all things culinary local and international. The Soul Kitchen cuisine is made with authentic Southern flare that goes the extra mile using locally grown produce/products to create dishes. Southern food doesn’t have to be served traditionally to taste great. We also create more modern healthier tasty nutritious dishes. Soul food isn't just an American tradition; it's a way of life, with deep roots in the South that have spread all over the nation.
